1.6 dizzy setup for carbs

is this the whole dizzy i need? or is it just the cap (red bit)i need? (the mk2 cav 16SV engine)

also what else do i need? the coil and amp?

you need the whole dizzy amp coil and wiring loom for it

and that pic isnt the right dizzy if its off on an xe the lugs are slotted on the correct one

thats a cav 1.6 one. ebay pic. does that mean i cant use XE HT leads on the 1.6 setup?

No you need different ones I used the universals you can make up from halfrauds
It is possible to use the xe leads with the correct set up but number 1 is too short and they don't fit that well that's why I used the hot wires
Other alternative is a hnh dizzy cap which will allow the use of xe leads

That is defiantly not the one you want on an xe (the pic)

The big lug should have a slot the full length of it so you can advance and retard timing
Also dizzy cap is wrong type that's the later dizzy not the one you want
