When my car went for an MOT it had 2 be taken from the garage next door, 9 miles away 2 their other other garage, i did not like seeing som1 else driving my car! specially with me not in it!

My m8 took his escort cossie in for an MOT and service to a local ford garage and left it over the weekend coz he hardky uses it. He only drives it every now and again (dry car shows etc) and has a record of the mileage and fuel "just incase".

Picked it up on Monday - nice and clean and after readjusting the drivers seat noticed the car had done over 500 miles on top of the recorded mileage. Tank was empty and all tyres (4 wd) were very low on tread.

He went fecking mental!

Took legal advice, took em to court and through investigations police discoered it had been to Alton Towers and back over the weekend - had been driven without insurance (garages) and no MOT (not done at the time).

The garage was fined ?5k in compensation - ordered to pay costs and replace all worn parts on the car. It soon closed down (reputation).

Serves em right!

like somebody sent in a car for some work. got it back and noticed greasey handprints on the rear nwly painted drum brakes. so obviosuly rear alloys had been off (for no reason)
