Stainless will be fine for a sump, if it's done up to more than about 5Nm you're doing something wrong.

Call Vauxhall and get the bolt size & dimensions, then order some new ones from a fixings place, no point sourcing and fitting second hand bolts IMO.

i kmow the sizes of the bolts, i need 12 M6 x22mm & 2 x M6 X30mm but most places like screwfix only do 20mm so will these be ok, also the ones on ebay are a kit but i dont know if to trust it or not as they dont specify lengths of the bolts, there just selling as a sump bolt kit for the xe

2mm is not going to make a huge difference on a sump, it'll leak anyway, it's an XE.

Thought you used shorter bolts if you're using the 8v gasket/baffle anyway, I wouldn't worry about the 2mm.

How much are the kits on ebay? That lot would cost about £4 in stainless from the fastener supplier I use, screwfix will have your trousers down for bolts, so wouldn't bother
