Cav Mk2 are the same motors, fitted them to my spare mirrors. Then never got round to putting them on the car so they've been in a storage box for years gathering dust. lol

As for the control, either use a cav mk2 switch or anything else you fancy the look of and just make up your own loom.

For what it's worth, I wouldn't bother. I tried years ago. It's a simple enough conversion but the motors are ****e and don't really move the glass properly.

Plus - how often do you adjust your mirrors? Its probably the most pointless mod ever... lol

Just won a set of these on eBay for £2.70 (Bargain), how hard are the shafts to replace?
Or is it a case of make your own jobbie?

Shafts? The manual mirror adjustment levers?

I honestly don't know, like stated just bought them, but I'm presuming it connects to the mirror glass? To adjust electrically.

There are two little rods on the motors that attatch to the mirror glass iirc, probable one of those that is required.
It is a while since I looked at mine so cant remember. I will be getting the setup fitted to my Swing/Sprint as I have the loom & dash switch aswell.

How hard are all the other bits to come by? Been hunting for electric mirrors for ages and searching German eBay with no luck and then came up trumps on here.

When you get yours down, any chance you could take pics for me please?

This is the switch. They are rarer than hens teeth, in the 15 years I have been into Nova's this is the only original setup I have ever come accross.

I bought my hairdressers Nova and it was fitted to that, it was a very rare dealer fit option. Removed it when I stripped it for spares.
It came with the grey surround but I managed to source the brown trim with help from Germany

Pete, they'll have worm screws that connect to the motor, two in each mirror. Its been a while since I looked at mine so I can't remember if the Nova mirrors have them or you need themf rom the cav mirrors.

I was going to think about selling mine, but if they're only making £2-odd I'll keep them lol

Ah yes, it comes back to me now. They are like a threaded shaft with a ball joint on the end aren't they and a rubber gaiter around them.

Arrived today, not taken the glass out yet but on the one that works it kind of clicks as you move the glass whereas the one that don't seems to be like moving a manual glass.

+ anyone know what the 3 wires are? So I can make a look for them etc. just colour to live for eg.

Took the glass of the Brocken one today, and had a bit of a tinker. Would help if I knew what I was looking at? Any ideas? It ust don't click when I move the glass whereas the other does?

Those two spindles should connect to the back of the mirror. The motor drives them in and out.

What wires do you have there - is that red, green and yellow?

Pete

Red/black, green & yellow.

The 2 bits that slow onto the glass, they spin round, stupid question but are they went to be all the way down or up?
