1993 c20xe nova

It is with much regret that i have decided to put my Vauxhall nova up for sale! Any questions just ask! Basic spec of the car below probably forgot stuff so i will add. The car is a 1993 merit model. It has 93000 miles and is a non sunroof! Got mot till the end of march and tax is around the same

The spec isas follows:
Exterior

·Full GSI spec including bumpers, rear window surround and skirts. Only thing missing is a GSI spoiler currently has a GTE one which I prefer!

·Full re-spray (windows out + doors off) in Ford Radiant red done by me and a friend as I’m a painter at a Land Rover dealership and he works at Aston Martin!

·De-locked doors

·De-wipered hatch

·De-badged all round

·Astra mk2 GTE headlight washers (working)

·A pair of brand new headlights

·Bee sting aerial

·Good second hand gutter rails (no longer stocked atVauxhall)

Interior

·Rover Vitesse Recaro half leather seats modified tofit on GSI runners

·Nova rear bench recovered in calibre leather

·GSI dash and door cards

·A, B, C pillar trims sprayed satin black

·Astra GTE 16v digital dash all working (inc. Oilpressure)

·SR illuminated sun visors

Suspension/Brakes

·Astra Cesaro wheels wrapped in very new Kumho KU31tyres

·Nova GSI rear anti roll bar

·Front G-Max shocks with the proper -50mm c20xesprings

·Rear G-Max -40mm springs with new KYB shocks

·Astra GTE front brake setup with Green Stuff pads

·Front strut brace

Engine

·Engine bay seam welded

·Early c20xe engine non lambda (low millage doesn’teven tap when cold!)

·Piper cross induction kit

·Equal length drive shafts which means the big blocksetup

·Corsa power steering rack and saxo pump so is has power steering (brought from Craig green there’s a vid on you tube of it working on his car!)

·F16 close ratio gear box

·Battery relocated to boot

·Blue injectors and 3 bar fuel reg from later c20xeengine

Bad points

·Syncro gone in 5th gear so it crunches going in but still perfectlydrivable

·Driver’s side window a little slow going down butcomes up fine

·Battery tray may require welding but it’s beenfibre glassed for now to stop any water leaks.


I was going to put a new box in and new MOT to sell it i have a decent f16 close ratio here waiting! But if you want to drop box in and MOT it when needed ill drop the price? the car will also be sold minus the stereo unless we agrre on a price for the car including stereo! So the prices are:

Car with replacement box fitted and 12 months mot - £2550 (work carried out after deposit is taken)

hi mate, could you possibly put up some pics of the areas prone to rusting please. chassis legs, strut tops etc. and one of the battery tray. also, would you be interested in a straight swap or are you after some cash? i have a 1999 corsa sport, full gsi rep and fitted with a c20xe, resprayed black last year...

Just to add my nova also has a cat 1 toad alarm and the documents which go with it! Cam belt when engine went in. New bearing in the equal length shaft attatchment!

Can you put uP the pictures of the common rust areas please, engine bay wheel arches, battery tray, boot floor etc. also do you have any pictures during the strip down and respray? And at the cheaper price does the new gearbox come with it just not fitted?

Ok the car is in great condition! I would't have spent so much on it if it was a rotter! Lol! It was brought from a forum member who said it was dry stored before he got it! Ill get some pics
Rear chassis legs are fine
Boot corners are fine
Rear arches fine
Sills fine
Splash gaurds fine
Engine bay ok little surface rust here and there but very good
Front chassis legs fine
Battery tray may require work but not much! I ground all rust out added rust killer and hammerited then fibreglassed and hammerited again!! There were 3 tiny holes letting water in so i did this and planned to weld it in the summer!
Yeah a good seconhand box will be included for you to fit with the cheaper price! Its a f16cr box! But it is still ok to drive just a little crunch from 4th to 5th! Im still using it when weather permits!
