There are loads of different types IIRC 8 different tank senders. Had the luck of having to find which one mine was when I visited Vauxhall. Chassis number said it was the first type but taking it out the car showed it was the second type.

Apart from how they fit the tank being one difference, the other difference is shape of the float and lenght of the float shaft too.

Yours will no doubt be the first type of sender... if it is that type then it NLS by Vaux. Even the 2nd type which my Nova has (C Reg 85 Merit) there were only 8 left in the world back in 2008 when I got it new - £64 ahem!

You need this one, part number 90119084. It is NLS but they do pop up every so often.

The next one along is 90225722 which was fitted from G... chassis onward. It is the same as 90119084 apart from the arm is a different shape. Now they never changed the tanks so I assume they did this for a more accurate reading or better throw on the sender?!? The connectors are the same so I don't see any reason they cannot be interchangeable.

After this the connector plug changed and there are other type fittings & fitting positions dependant on engine type, injection etc.

Gonna have to be patient chap, keep an eye out on Ebay as they pop up every so often.
They are a bit of a week point so I bought a few while they were cheap & more commonly available. Got 2 early Nova's to keep in senders lol

The one pictured was thought to be the one fitted to my tank but the one in there was the one just after. £5 is damn cheap!

Take the one you have out and see. No other way of telling what you have.
