will a mk1 choke cable and handle thing fit a mk2 dash in the original position?

I guess you need to find a really early mk2 to check.. It should do.

im gonna try and use an original nova choke cable and handle for my r1's and just wanted to know if either would fit as i think getting a mk1 would be easier

Tbh, fitting any choke cable is easy, as long as you can route it straight enough.

yeah i bought a universal one from egay but it dosnt sit right so decided just to use a standard one, it only needs a solderless nipple added to hopefully a standard one will be fine

i used my mk1 in my mk2 gsi dash and seems ok ecept the choke button on the end is on the piss
