Rainsports is a Uniroyal tyre?

Admiral are a cheap brand?

You pay for what you get

What size are you looking for, have you looked up the test reports on mytyres.co.uk?

Would you believe there is a site called http://www.tyrereviews.co.uk/Tyre/ that have reviews lol

You normally get what you pay for but there are a few tyres that actually are very good especially for the price. Dad got some BF Goodrich tryes that are about 30% cheaper than the equiv. Michelin tyre but rated better, kinda crazy when you think Michelin make them lol

ive bought rainsport 2's for my LET and rainexperts for my GTE. the latter are pretty good, yet to try the rainsport 2's.

Goodyear Eagle F1's seem to always get the best reviews and are priced well for a premium tyre. They will obviously be a bit more than the budget tyres but I would always pay the extra for tyres & brakes, remember its the only thing stopping a ton or so of metal(Unless you like to rear end other cars) and keeping it stuck to the ground ;)

Marshall are the cheap end of khumo etc.
I thought Khumo were a cheap brand anyway lol

Manufacturers usually have a 'budget' brand anyway to keep a finger in the cheaper end of the market without devaluing their core branding, which is epsecially useful when a lot of people just buy the cheapest tyre possible. With tyres though you may find they just recycle older tread designs or compounds so you actually get a good quality tyre.

Now if only IBM would do that with printers, and Lexmark might actually be good for once. Not like the utter garbage they actually are lol

i like Khumo. better that toyo proxies imo. toyo proxies have thin sidewalls and dont last very long at all

khumos are cheap yes, but they grip well and last fairly long

I know a few people that run NS2's - so far they've all loved them.

I remember doing about 25laps of Donny on a set of Nankangs, they pretty much fell apart, but werent bad for laps 5-10 lol
There are worse budget tyres out there. My old man got some budgets fitted on his motor, Accelera or something they are, and they are horrible. You have to ease it gently around corners on anything other than dry tarmac.

I wouldn't go as far as putting Nankangs on a track car but for road I've had good feedback when I ask.

Nor would I, its just what was on the rims at the time.

nevermind anyway, started this thread cos i was going to get a set of wheels and tyres cheap that were described as 'all tyres have over 6mm + easy' (tyre brands of the above questioned)
turns out they had about 1-3mm tops hahha, waste of petrol or what...!!
think im just going to buy some new b.khumos cos iv had them in the past and they have proved better than the current toyo proxies imo

I've just done a pair of ku31's on the polo. Wore well and handled great even in poor weather. Will be getting some more but i'm stuggling finding them in my size.
