Hi to all i am new to this forum and its fab keep up the good work. i recently got the nova bug again havein not owned one for a few years now , so last week end i when a brought a silver gsi as a project :thumb:it needs alot of tlc i have taken some pics an i will post them when i get my lap top back as i cant seem to do it on my phone

Hi mate thank you yeah il be getting it mint an leavein it standard its got a smooth boot on at the mo but i think im goin to change that . just a nice set of wheels and have it sitting nice and low lol dont no what to do engine wise yet though leave it alone or 16 valve it , i will be joining the png club in the next few weeks thank for lettin me no about the pics didnt no that

Hi all i have been back up to the gsi today an started stripping bits off i have got all the engine bay wireing out and have sarted to strip bits off the engine so its almost ready 2 come out . i still dont no wheather to 16 valve it or leave the 1600 in . i have uploaded sum pics to photobucket today aswell so makeing some progress .Cant wait to get the pics up so u can all let me no what you think ;)

Yeah i no it will love the little thing really lol im gona leave the body standard lower it but cant decide what rim to choose speedlines/ softstars or sumthin new as for inside iv gota try an buy the gsi dash an that back as its got all sri dash an seats in at the mo as for the engine still cant decide

Hi all just you no i havent just been sitting on my backside i have been back up to the old girl again today an got to work takein the last of the engine bay loom out , i then took the alarm out as i think this i one of the reasons it wont start it looked like some one had been messing with it so i though i will just get a new one fitted glad i did now as i found some very dodgy looking wires that looked like they have been gettin hot im goin to get it back on the trailer soon and get it to my dads to get the engine out the i can start the fun job of welding it . sorry no new pics as it was dark when i left il sort some soon :)

Ok sorry about that i have finaly uploaded all the pics now i have been workin on the old girl again today and got alot more done and found alot more welding as you can see the towing eye and leg on the driver side rear as completley rotted away the back bumper was holdin it all up :( . all the stuff is now out off the engine bay so i can now get on with takeing the engine and box out an once that is done i can book a few days off work an get welding and finaly start movein the project forward ;)

I no just think what i thought when i took the back bumper off and the towing eye fell off lol never mind its not goin to put me off alot of love an tlc and the old girl will be as good as new , well almost lol keep your replys comeing good or bad as helps to keep me goin lol

Thanks mate its going to be alot of work but it will be worth it in the end i will hopefullt be welding it soon just waiting for work to pick up so i have got abit of free cash . dnt no were to start though front or back lol:thumb:

Yeh will you be doing the welding your self im looking for a nova just now trying to get a mint shell or as best as i can find not alot of novas up my way sold my last one last year as started to need welding wish i never now

Yeah il be doin all the weldin on her so that should save me alot of money . yeah these little novas get under your skin dont they i have had a few an kerp goin back to them this on is for keeps this time should have picked a better shell but never mind , what sort of nova are you after sr gte gsi 16 valve ;)
