Xe mini knock sensor loom

I hav a xe know sensor loom but it's 5 pin an my
Xe loom is 4 pin anyone come across this before? Think my
Loom is from a cavalier

Yes - there are two types. The 5 pin is identical to the 4, except it has an extra earth/sheild wire and therefore you cant swap/chop them...

I have seen both types on all kinds of years/cars and 20xe and 20lets - cant see a pattern at all.

On a positive note, the 4 pin looms are much more common - it took me a few weeks to find a 5 pin loom!
