Be different, don't follow the crowd. But, choose wisely!
If you have to follow the crowd, I think Irmscher Softstars are a nicer wheel than Speedlines,
Build your car for you. Who gives a sh!t what's currently en vouge!
I'd say you're a little early to be choosing wheels though! lol
Speedlines for me on any mk2
the wheels i like are 5 stud so it would mean no speedos anymore :( also the old 5 stud on small block problem,
Rich i hear what your saying, the wheels i like are a OE style wheel so should suit the nova lines

but i need to modify the suspension and bodywork for the wheels to fit lol
soft starts.speedline's or comp's :)
all of my builds have gone 'against the general grain' in one form or another, but thats purely because i do what i want and just make it work. Personally i believe its the only way forward
Be different imo
Speedlines look ok but are very very very boring
Im glad I was tipped off about my wheels as something different wheel wise makes your car stand out from others

Can't beat Speedline's on a GSi in my opinion. ;)
well looks like i'll be modifying the rear inner arch and chassis leg, and the front inner arch and splash guard oh and turretting the rear suspension just to get some wheels to fit lollollol
Bazil check VxKev's wip he has used Meriva Vxr hubs that are five stud and take the standard small block outer cv and fit the nova bearing

Apparently they make more than one wheel now?!

Go for speedline allessios that are 5 stud with out the centre caps and before anyone says it i aint talking about minstrals.

I think I know what your fitting mate and do think they will work but before going 5 stud think you should have it photo shopped by someone who won't give it away?
I done one myself a wee while ago, next time I'm on the pc I'll send you it,
bazil, dont you need a car to put wheels on in the first place lol

Should not be difficult with AC Schnitzer wheels from the new Mini as the PCD is 4x100 and usually the offset is ET45. Only issue would be arch clearance depending on the size. Centre bore is only about 0.5 mm out so a Dremmel would sort that.

Planing ahead lol, as there isn't much left of the rear inner arch I need to look at how I'm going to replace/repair certain areas and plan for fitting oversized wheels,

After seeing the pics I think you should go for it looks awsome :)
Cheers mate, you can see the problem I'm faced with in trying to get them to fit lol, I'll certainly give it a good bash, I had thought about a wide arch kit but a really want to keep it looking as standard as possable

There's quite a few new designs around in an ET45; you can just get them machined a couple of mil to bring you closer to home.

Always nice to be different if you can find a set of wheels that look spot on.
They wheels you had sat next to the red nova will look epic matey

After buying all those gen panels mate you must go original or at leave it so any mods can easily be changed back to standard. I've got standards and speedlines for mine tho got the 2 rear speedlines inner face machined down 2.5mm so my arches aint cut.
Alright findog,
Due to the amount of panel changes I can't claim the car to be original or standard I'm afraid, but it certainly will retain its oem look, also I was hoping you could maybe help me out with some info on Lows garage if possable?
DC you know the score mate lol have you got that Viva sold yet?
