Are the sills OK? Didn't realise how badly they rotted out on MX5's. I went to have a look at a low mileage W reg Icon and put my finger through the sill lol. Owner was not amused.

Tell me about it... I looked at loads of "mint" mk1 mx5's. All had plated sills, and none had been done for asthetics, purely to pass an mot. This car is mint, sills, arches, wings, bonnet and bootlid are completely rust free. 75k miles. Only downside is the driver's rear quarter, the previous owner fitted a new taller battery (cheaper) and the factory battery mounts didnt fit so the battery has hit the wing and chipped the paint on the outside :( It's not rotten, so will touch it up for the winter, then get it blown over when it warms up :)

I spent ages looking for a decent one for my dad to try and put him off buying an MG! Couldn't find a decent one so we managed to find him a cracking late Z3 with a straight six in it, leather & a hard top ;)
