help with a friends focus...?

car is a 1.6 50odd reg focus (56 i think)

a mate from work has asked if i can have a look at this for her...
says its near where you put your foot on the clutch. has the new part ready to go on ^
but a mechanic relative has had a quick look and said they cant do it for some reason

what is it?
anyone any experience with these?
out to look out for?
common problem?
big job?

i haven't had a look yet so im just trying to get an idea of what im in for

it looks like it could be a clutch pedal return spring. ive only ever replaced one on a vectra C and it was a simple job, just kinda slotted in between the pedal and bulkhead. no idea what sort of job it is on a focus but cant see it being difficult, assuming it is what i think it is.

aye, iv just had a goodle about... doesnt sound too hard but there was one guy saying it took him a few hours, i dunno. will have a look. cheers anyhow mate
