thats a hell of a torque curve.

is it good?

obviously a few of you think this is wrong for what it is, but i garentee if you drove it then you would soon change your mind!

thanks mate, i need to get a bit more power out of it, any suggestions? someone told me to raise the limit as the max bhp is on the limit, would you say a x16xe management would be worth it as its got a slightly higher limit than the c16xe management? any other suggestions please feel free to let me know :)

Cams would be the next step, I know Adams old engine was about 150 bhp with a set of cams and similar mods to yours, then when the cams are in new management to make the most of the

gte flywheel? worth doing that? i got x16xe, power box, 4.1... pretty much similar engine

and thats sound quite good

A bit optimistic tbh - but as long as it goes well who cares?

Whats the current rev limit? ARPs fitted?

boyd_1989

the standard rev limit is at 6650 RPM well thats what the graph says anyway and my rev gauge is about that. next step will most probably be cams and then a remap or different management or something like that, unsure exactly what im doing yet though

i had gte nova with similar mods and it produced 130bhp wouldnt worry about what some say on here ive got a c20let nova witch produced good bhp on the dyno and all i got on here was ive herd that places rollers are out them figuers are wrong this that and the other all i can say at least you have taken the time to go and get it dynod rather than go round saying oh its running ABOUT this bhp sorry for this little rant

i was looking into getting one from a 14xe maybe. not sure what would be best and if you'd see a noticeable difference
them inlet really do help these engines though

It would be interesting to get mine RR'd again as a lot of people call BS on my 140bhp C16XE. Stock bottom end apart from ARPs, headwork...not sure on inlet cam but exhaust cam is definitely standard, 4-2-1 manifold, Mantzel inlet and ECU to match (makes a huge difference as it increases the rev limit to 7200rpm)

To be totally honest I couldn't give a **** what power its producing as the engine characteristics are bang on, the torque is incredible and pulls all the way to the limiter in any gear except 5th

Only thing I would say is my X16XE running standard cams and exhaust manifold, no head work with throttle bodies and DTA management makes 150 (only a small decimal away) on rollers that are not optimistic.

The power graphs shows it still climbing at the 7750 rev limit. Make of that what you will compared with everything above.

As long as your happy then that's all that matters. :)

Thats the key point though - these small blocks make peak power right at the top of the rev range. The OPs is quite a bit lower for that sort of figure IME.

Yup, mine was the same with the Velos inlet, power still rising at the then 7500 limit. However it drives much much better on the TB's feels much stronger throughout the rev range than with just the inlet.

On the 'bean can' mine made 120 ish on the Velos rollers. I can't find any of my graphs otherwise I'd post them.

That figure was bull if mine was anything to go by on those rollers. MR2 made 265bhp @ 0.9 bar, ran it on The Racing Lines rollers at same boost and only managed 195bhp as it was running so rich.
