Its more to do with the fact that your car will not be on the mot database with the engine in.

but the mot slip dosnt state the engine number or cc does it?

maybe the cc but i dont think the mot database takes the engine number, its insured as a 2.0 anyway so thats the main thing, just need to get it down to a garage so they can make me a letter stating the engine number so i can get the doovla informed
