Please feel free to check out our new online quotation facility here:

http://www.skyinsurance.co.uk/insurance-quote.html

If you have any problems using the facility, any questions or feedback, please let us know.

Please note, this will not work for everyone, for anything highly modified we'd need to speak to you on the phone. If anyone gets a price which is over £1500 or seems uncompetitive against your current price/other insurers, please request a call back here:

http://www.skyinsurance.co.uk/call_back_new.phtml

So basically it's something similar to well known comparison sites? Just chuck your details in and it'll show a price?

EDIT:

I can't bloody wait til september! Two years no claims (touch wood), over 25 plus the discount for being a club member will be very welcome!

It's something to have a play around with.. if our criteria is met, it should offer a very competitive price. You have the option of a quick quote which will assume a lot of information and then this leads onto a full quote. If you need a confirmed quotation it's best to speak to us on the phone, you can request a call back here:

Tried it at work and it kept asking me for an email and PIN - although that could be due to MOD computers being stuck on IE6 lol

Tried again at home and all worked fine, gave me a quote and suchlike - was just to see how it worked though as I'll be calling you in a bit for the Celica renewal.

How accurate is the online quote system Ollie, as ive just run my astra through and FC came back as £363, upon my last renewal i was told it couldnt be sourced FC for less than £800, and im paying £480 TPFT atm!

*Edit*

Just ran it again and got TPFT quoted as £277:eek:

I tried a quote on compare the market on an impreza wrx the other week, it came back as £58 more than the car was for sale for, made me

Tried again with the online quote from sky and it came back £570, (TPFT) i think i might be looking for a scooby next to replace the astra, which is a mint car, but slow and boring lol

I would take the online quote with a barrel of salt tbh,so spud for example has just been quoted £277-minus his 20% for his club membership he will be paying-£221?? I dont think so.Misleading to say the least.

That's why I've enquired as to how accurate it is, there will be a difference in the price anyway as it just quotes for a standard car as to add mods wouldn't be possible to give an exact quote, and my Astra ain't standard anymore lol

i saved my online quote then rang them up, the guy told me that they're having problems with the system and that none of the quotes it gives atm are correct

just tried to get a quote for my nova with the XE, and at said it couldn't quote online. a guy rang up the next morning to ask some questions. end result: XE Nova and all mods declared, me with 3 yrs NCB, 21 yrs old (in a couple months), and an SP30, and the woman for occasional use, came in at about £1500 fully comp. To say i'm pleased is an understatement, seeing as I'm paying more than that for a **** box 1.25 fiesta atm lol

thats why you do the in-depth online quote. would give a better estimate i guess

Hi all,

just to let you know that we have reviewed the online quotation facility we have had live for the last couple of months due to some feedback we have received over our network of affiliated car clubs. Despite hundreds of people getting online quotes with us everyday, we've had issues with our full online quotation, as it stands we have removed this so only our 'quick quotation' facility is currently live. As it stands, we cannot provide confirmed quotations unless we speak to customers over the telephone, telephone quotations take no longer than ten minutes usually.
If you are after a very quick and rough indicative price then you are welcome to use the 'quick quote option' but please speak to us on the phone to go through a full quotation.

Did a quick quote on a 1.2i Nova saloon, came out as £1066, when I purchase my car I will be definatly giving you a ring to talk over a full quote as that is a very competative price.

20 years old
1 year NCB

Cheapest I have been quoted by anyone was £990.

EDIT: Just had a phone call of someone who works for you, very nice gentleman +1 for customer service. Asked how my day was instead of just reading off a script, not alot to ask but it is noted.

The online quote gives me some very decent results, £550ish on a 2003 spec Impreza Turbo.
Interesting to see how they compare to a telephone quote tho.
