exhaust sections, do they need gaskets????

im hopefully gonna be changing my 1.2i cat section for a normal 1.2 exhaust section. Do i have to buy a new gasket to put between the sections, can i use some sort of sealant?

As long as the exhaust systekm aint blowin ur ok. The gasket's your talking about are 30p each. The sealent your on about is ?3ish. So why not just use the gaskets. Make sure you clamp each section together really tightly. Ust the U-clamps around pipe over pipe joins, and the bolts on the end section joins. If you know what Im chatting about.
