Alternator issue?

Under acceleration in first, second and third the battery light flickers and the car judders? its a MK1 1.0.
I thought it might be the alternator earth connection as i had to disconnect that when changing my starter motor recently but after tightening it up it is still doing it, any help is much appreciated!

You might of damaged the exisitng earth wire though, try running another earth wire from the earth on the battery to the alternator to see if it helps at all.
