does anyone know if a 1.6 head and cam will make a 1.3 sr any quicker as i have one at the mo spare :D

There is always a lot of discussion about various head swapping ideas, i think the best one people come up with is the 1.2 head on a bigger engine to increase the compression. The best people to talk to about this sort of thing are MC/CP as they do a lot of experimenting with these ideas and i believe have tried most combinations.
Have a look in the useful links post at the top there might even be a topic running about this.
think ben means to increase compression
if you put the 1600 on the 1.3 it will drop compression and it wont run as well!!

What if you get the head skimmed, wont that increase the compression?
yep but im talking large amounts here

i thought the 1.2 head is better than the 1.3?
Excluding the cams.
very much the same heads the 1.2 and 1.3
The 1.2 will raise the c/r, giving slightly more power!
Agree with above, 1.6 head will drop compression and wont flow aswell.
Shell out on having valves from a 1.6 put in your head instaed. That'll be worth a few ponies :D
