throttle bodies???

hello people, im in the process of buying a nova and have been told by a few people that i should fit throttle bodies to the engine. its a 1.2 mk1 1985. any opinions on this? im after more power, does anyone know a cheaper way of getting this if the throttle bodies are a dislike? thanks bob

throttle bodies will maybe gain you 2-5hp & use a ton of fuel, also you'll spend at least a grand fitting them, with a standalone ecu & rolling road.

the best gains on an 1.2carb engine involve fitting a 1.3 or 1.4 bottom end, it will get you 20 hp & the insurance will be less than throttle bodies.

Not going to get much better help than the above comment i mean saving you a lot of money and getting you a lot more power .
