maybe
hmm its turning over ok maybe a bit slow and i get the odd backfire through the carbs
Its not smoke, its fuel vapour.
see the thing is im running megajolt and struggling to get my laptop to connect to it to check the cranking advance
i had the megajolt connect in my house via a 9v battery and loaded up the b ase map to it but cant remember if i set the cranking advance, which at standard is 0
ive been told its hsould be 10, so if its at 0 it wont start at all will it?
Its not smoke, its fuel vapour.
whatever it was it was loud lol

Yeah mine was out by miles an thts what I would get when I tryed to start mine an it was cured after timing was sorted
well my cam/crank timing is bang on, im just haveing problems coinnecting to the megajolt to check that lol
make sure plug leads are on the right way, when mine started it ran like a bag of crap i just had the plug leads mixed up and it started and ran fine after i changed them around
how do you have your plug leads set up? 1-1 2-2 3-3 4-4?
on my c20xe i have them like below, but i still think they are wrong! hopefully tom will know
coil pack-engine
1-1
2-3
3-2
4-4
shouldnt it be
1-1
2-3
3-4
4-2
i not sure what way they go but my engine starts and seems to run fine but i am nearly sure they are mixed up
i think it would run with either of our set ups since its wasted spark anyway

Just thought you'd best mention that your running bike carbs ;)
Have you asked Tom Reid and picked his brains regarding this?
yeah i was supposed to call him today but had a fair bit on, he's the one who supplied me with my megajolt :)
