View Full Version : How do you remove a Nova steering column from the car?
How is this done?
One side its just a nut you undo but what about the other?

Its a snap nut mate, easiest way i found was with a chisle and just drive it the right way give it a couple of whacks and then it should undo with ure fingers, then just replace with a normal nut with the same thread

I used a pair of mole grips to undo and retighten mine

If they were both nuts then definitely yes as the standard is 1 nut and 1 bolt (sheer). Most replace the sheer bolt with a standard bolt.
At least your dash is out, it's a proper bugger with it fitted! Should be able to get some molegrips on it and undo it.
