Right this isnt a whats it worth thread just a car im looking at buying and just want tohers opinions, im looking at buying a Cav TD hatchback 102k looks mint with apparently no rust comes with towbar clean inside and out tax and mot he wants £670 but im gona bid him down again would you lot pay that much for a totally standard old L reg cav? or do you think thats too much lol? discuss ( if this breachs rules delete it ) :thumb:

£500 is plenty imo, at the end of the day its an old ****ty TD Cav which probably has front electric windows and the rest is pure poverty. (sorry to the Derv lovers, I just hate TD Cavs....)

I too would have said £500 is better, yet the TD's do seem to hold their prices, you can get a Vectra Diesel for the money though.

^^^ cool pics pal ye ive been looking at vectras but they seem to have loads of problems with turbos injectors and fuel pumps and i want something i can fix myself insted of needing a computer lol

If you look at the first Vectra diesels they were fitted with the Isuzu TD from the cav's...I had one.

I say barter down. I paid £800 for an M reg saloon with leathers and GSi kit.

I'd be looking at £500 tops for a TD hatchback, but to be fair when I was looking (about 8-12 months ago) there were a lot around. Doesn't seem to be much in the way of TD cavs about at all at the mo!

well guys just bought it lol payed £620 5 months tax and test till june, its is very clean and i cant find any rust yet lol drives like a dream everything works as it should! Im happy with it i know ove payed over the odds really but aint seen a decent 1 about for ages and the ****e 1s fetch 4-600. Shame its got the grey interior and not black but thats sortable lol

Can buy a miles better/newer motor for £600-£700 lol
A 1.8petrol version would probably sell for about a hundred quid.

mate theres alot of sheds out there, ive been looking for ages for a decent vectra or mondeo diesel but for my budget i could only get a **** one with about 150k+ miles, also if this plays up i can fix it if a vectra or mondeo etc plays up its gna need ti be put on a computer especially with the injector and diesel pump faults that are common on most cars with that milage lol
