Hey guys, is there supposed to be a ball bearing at the top of the suspension strut? It's in the Haynes Manual and they're for sale on eBay, but I can't remember if my old SR had one, and my Saloon hasn't got one, and the spring keeps catching when I turn the steering, so i'm wondering if this is the cause?
Yes there should be. You wont get a smooth turn with out it
i don't think its possible to assemble a strut without one

In the lower spring plate of the top mount assembly, it is enclosed within a white nylon ring in the centre.
