rusty cams and crank

...exactly how rusty can cams get before they are bolloxed lol my crank has some surface rust but ill get that reground, my cams on the other hand have somehow got quite bad surface rust on the lobes. shall i just admit defeat and class them as scrap now?

Get them cleaned off with some acid or rust remover dip then see what pitting is left.

I think Bilt Hamber has some good stuff.

i know the crank isnt too bad as it was covered in WD40 but since they have gone into work with the car i could coat them in grease from the big tub we have.

some wet and dry should clean them up...hardly going to damage them too:D

used a wire brush in a hammer drill thing...they look find now. :D so going to use the anti corrosion sleeves i have at work and a load of grease to keep em shiny :p

it worked lol. im using it on everything atm. :D much better than flappy pad sanding discs things
