I've got a c16xe but it won't start it cranks over there's a spark and there is fuel to the fuel rail does anyone have any ideas, all the earths have been checked

can you flash the ecu for codes? is it in a nova? could be crank sensor

Not yet tried to flash it is in a nova got annoyed with it before so give up to try another day lol

Is fuel getting into the cylinders? Is timing correct? Plug leads & injector plugs all on the right way?

if the fuel and spark is perfect i would put my money on crank sensor. they can cause all sorts of problems, not starting and rev limiting at 5k

try and flash the ecu. was it running in the nova before?

No its not been running in the nova its only been on there for two weeks not too sure if the fuel is getting into the cylinders but the timing is spot on and all the wires seem to be in order on the injectors

Is it definately a C16xe and not a X16xe? What colour connections are on your ecu?

If a C16 try some extra earths say from the alternator and a extra one to the battery.

If everything else is spot on, try a crank sensor as advised by Jonn.

Another thing to try is the thin black wire that usually connects to the back of the inlet manifold, they are usually a o-ring and have a bad connection so get some sandpaper out and clean the inlet and the connector to get a better earth.

if you check spark plugs you might see if they have fuel on them.

does the c16xe use a chip and transponder? if it does make sure that the chip is in the right position on the transponder.

recheck your wiring, earths, gearbox earth strap aswell

The C16xe doesn't use the chip and transponder ;)

Yes it is deffinatley the c16xe red and blue plugs on the ecu, I put new earth straps on today aswell as earthing it direct to battery, I'll flash the codes see what I end up with but probably crank sensor as been advised by a dew people thanks

c16xe ecus ,dont use transponders,could well be the crank sensor
