I'm looking about for parts to finish my Nova off, particularly an exhaust system, and can't seem to find anything suitable. Needs to be 2 1/2" bore with 2 boxes, MK1 fitment (wonky tail pipe). It also needs to actually fit a Nova, I want none of these Ashley horror stories of them clouting the floor all the time lol

All I can find on the bay that will fit is a GTE system, but it's only 2" bore. Had a look on the popular manufacturers websites, but they all seem to have been designed by a toddler, and are therefore unnavigable.

What do you guys run?

My ashley was a perfect fit. 2" bore will be fine as well unless you're running silly bhp or a turbo.

You won't get an off the shelf 2 and a half inch system it'll have to be custom

Third vote here for Magnex but mines definately only two inch, I known this for certain as I've had to extend it, three box system so nice and quiet

so magnex seems to be fairly popular then, I'll give them a try

I only wanted a 2 1/2" system as I'va got some fangled manifold with a 2 1/2" tail pipe. so a 2 1/4 would be fine then? it's only going on an XE. 2 1/4" is the standard bore I think

Ashley is 2.25" but its made to fit a MK2 bumper.

Magnex are good but its 2" bore

I don't think so

Don't let the 2" magnex put you off, I had one on my red Nova and that was the quickest XE I have ever owned

My old car had a Mk1 Ashley system on it, so yes.

It just seems wrong putting a pea shooter on it, when the cally exhaust was 2 1/4" lol might just do it, as 2 1/2" systems either don't exist of are extortionately expensive

bodes well then. none of these manufacturers seem to list any nova systems on their sites :tard: wierd

They may be the same fitment for both, as the mk1 does fit the mk2, it just comes out at an angle. Personally I've only ever noticed a mk1 fitment with ashley, but I do recall a mk2 (straight exit is the only difference btw) fitment as I'm sure I nearly swapped my backbox with someone before I decided I quite liked the wonky exit lol

but the cut outs in the bumper are in a different place between MK1 and MK2, so they will rub on the incorrect bumper. I also like the wonky MK1 exit lol

Yes I have one, and a standard xe exhaust is about the same size as a nova one dude.. lmao

A mk1 exhaust fits a mk2 well, but a mk2 doesn't fit a mk1. Mine were coming out at an angle for ages until I cut it off!

Thought the standard XE bore was 2", so 2.25" Ashley system will be a little larger than standard, you can always cut and weld the tailpipe for a mk1 if it bugs you.
