E16SE AFM Modifications

If someone will give me a quick run down of how the 2 modifications to the E16SE's AFM are done, I'll do it tomorrow and make a walkthrough for the guides section with pictures.

I believe one is the tension of the flap's spring, by repositioning the spring itself?

And I believe the other is something to do with the potentiometer?

what are the advantages of this mod?

I think better throttle response and probably half a pony, but worth doing while my engine's apart and I have nothing else to do with my miserable student existence.
