Do i need it? I filled up yesterday and fuel was pouring out of the fabric/rubber pipe. ive just blocked off both ends for now but will keep them blocked if it wont effect it.

Its so the tank will fill at a decent rate, if you block it off the pump will keep cutting out due to the air not being able to exit the tank fast enough as the fuel goes in

So would it be best to find abit of pipe to join it again? Can you buy a new original pipe?

Yeah I would replace it rather than block it.

Sorry are you talking about new original Nova pipes, or the ones for the car pictured above?

On my Nova I used new fuel hose, 15mm ID or something IIRC?

12mm on Nova IIRC

It should attach along the top of the fuel tank somewhere

Top of the Nova tank,(looking front under side looking forward to front of car) its the top right corner, yes you really want it on there, my car was a night mare to fill up with out the pipe connected right. Don't join it either if you can...

When i was blocking it it looked like the two ends were different sizes. the tank being slightly smaller then the filler pipe. Ill have to get a few sizes and try them out when my fuel goes down abit lol
