Just picked up a second hand 4 branch today but still in 2 minds to heat wrap it.
Seen a few people say that it holds the heat well but others say it damages and cracks the exhaust. Is it worth me doing it or just rub off the service rust and bolt it straight on? It will only be used on the road.

Cheers for any help.

Bit of both really, it does help keep the heat in, but also water...iirc Ashley exhausts says if you wrap one of theres, it invalidates the warranty..

Wrapped properly you shouldnt see any problems, poor wrapping usually means it falls off/ruining things.

Dans Ashley manifold was wrapped for 4 years or so and only cracked a little in the last 12 months of use
