What's everyone using?

Are the NGK ZFR6F-11 the ones I should be going for? Do Iridium plugs really work that much better?

Just need some info and what not.

Thanks :thumb:

are the BCR8ES gapped correctly? What ones are the ZFR6F-11's then?

the 8es's should be gapped properly but no harm checking, not sure on the plugs you've mentioned. oh and i wouldnt bother with irridium plugs either, there pretty poor imo

I see... NGK parts catalogue states the LET should run ZFR6F-11 - with no mention of BCR8ES for any of the 2.0 engines.

BCR8ES is a RS Turbo plug also used on the YB Cosworth engine.

They are cheap and reliable enough, avoid all the iridium plugs.

From memory the BCR8ES come with either a 1mm or .8 gap, gap them to 0.6 which is from memory the thickness of a stanley knife blade.

Don't worry about what you have read is supposed to be used, the RS turbo plug is perfect for all applications.

So I'd need to gap the BCR8ES. They are cheap on eBay 1.75 each well worth getting a few sets.

Fiver from Halfords with trade card if they have 'em in stock, save you waiting on postage...

Got Halfords trade card. May have to go check them out in the week. £5 is best price so far.

I'll tell them that 'Iain on PNGclub.com said that they are £5 and that's how much I'm paying!' If not I'll get them to call you and confirm lol

Just use a standard stanley knife blade, its close enough

When it comes to stuff like this I'm a perfectionist. Want it to be exact!
