Sick of lying on the garage floor taking things apart I got my finger out and built a bench/storage thing today.

Loaded with crap!

Put some hinges on the worktop and a slab of mdf underneath the frame to put all my tools under. I have a pair of bootlid struts to help lift it too, if I can find them.

Now I know it's not perfect and I still need to lop about a foot off the end of the worktop and put a solid lid above where George the Hoover lives, but I've never built anything before, so I am rather pleased with myself. lol

Comments and criticism welcome!

Tbh hobbit I probably should have bought one, perhaps I will when this one falls down, but at least it gave me something to do yesterday!

Looks good mate, certainly better building yourself than buying one. Only problem i can see with it is when the top is full of crap (which eventually it will be) how are you going to get to the bits underneath? lol

I like it though :)

I built a built in wooden workshop bench the full width of my garage. Solidly built with shelving, heavy duty work surface, aperture to house my compressor and a big vice. Looks great when I can see it. It is loaded up with crap so I can't really use it lol.
Will tidy it up so I can use it one day!

I did that on purpose so that it HAS to be kept tidy lol

Probably regret it when I don't have the right size spanner out but mehh.
