it got 69bhp at the flywheel and about 57 at the wheels. This is a 1.3SR with an weber 32/34 and ITG air filter. :D I'm well happy, what sorta bhp are the SRs producing as standard?

From brand new I thought they were suposed to be pushing about 70 bhp weren't they?? :?

The rollers he went to might have been reading low.

Sounds about right for a car that age with those mods.

I am thinking of getting a new cam for it soon, but don't know what profile :? don't want it to mad as i have to use the car everyday :roll:

go for a fast road cam no point in a race or rally one as it will run like a bitch at low revs

shouldnt it be more with the 32/34 webber?

I'm hopeing to get much more than that with my 1.3SR engine i'm building!

brand new webber 32/34, full rebuild, head skimmed, ported/polished, lightened flywheel, fast road cam.

I hope to get close to 90bhp with that?

90bhp is possible

allthough mines a 1.4 (it has shit restricted head, so this gives u idea)

rebuilt, 32/34, flowed head, piper 275 cam

85BHP proven

what do you think my 1.2 carbed nova will get with the following mods i got on it.

1. 1.3sr inlet manifold and pierburg 2e3 carb with K&N filter.
2. 4-2-1 exhaust manifold from a 1.4sr (fitted today by me) and powerflow 4' back box.

I think it might be touching 60bhp? its 55bhp standard.
Certainly seems perkier since the first time i drove it.

I'm going to R/R it once i get my ast1k cam for it. That claims a 10bhp inprovement.
Might be seing 70bhp with that, have to wait and see.

I hope this is a joke post. You'll never get 10bhp from a filter(especially so on a NA engine)
As for cam profiles-try a piper fast road cam. As you say anything more might make it too rough for everyday use.

PS I got 97bhp out of my 1.6 GTE with 130k miles and a mongoose exhaust,pretty happy with that 8)
