mk1 front splitter

ive gone to fit my gte front bumper to my pov spec mk1 but the splitter on the front valance seems to stop the sides from sitting properly.how do i remove the splitter without damaging anything. thanks

do you mean the origional lower valance trim/splitter fitted on the car?
If so, look underneath the lip it will have around 12 ish clips that if you push the middle bit thru will just just pop out afterwards. Then the splitter will come off.
GTE bumpers should fit on any MK1 without any problems, povery spec or top spec.
They fit on mk2's too but look sh!t as Fook

cheers will have a look tomorrow. there are two fork like clips on the gte bumper in the wheel arch which hit that splitter thing
