Iv got a slow puncture at the front drivers side thanks to a mate who kerbed it! :roll: :evil:
it cant be repaired cos the puncture is on the wall, so im getting new fronts! (and my mates paying for 1 :D )

so my question is.............what tyres do you ya reckon i should go for?? im looking to get a decent set as im havin a 1.6 soon.

The tyres are 195/60/14

you need 195/55 14" 60 are too high profile!!

will it make that much of a difference???
bit broke at the mo so dont wanna do it if its not gonna make any difference at all!

The difference in profile will make more difference when going round corners. The car wont roll side to side as much. As for the price there shouldn't be much in it to be honest. Plus your mates payiong for one! :lol: I would say just go for a decent named pair such as Pirelli, Dunlop, Continental, Falcon etc etc.

Stay away from re-moulds and daft chinese names like Chen Shing or something!! :roll:

IMO Toyo Proxis and Goodyear Eagle F1's are the daddy tyrs if you can afford them...

A month or so ago I bought Avon ZZ1's 195/45/15 for ?43 each inc delivery. Http://www.mytyres.net

iv heard eagle f1's are good, got avons on at the mo, good in the dry but not so much in the wet :?

Don't take mine out in the wet so wouldn't know lol

The avons arn't exactly the best tyre ive used but they'll do. Was after Toyos but couldnt get any quick enough for the Pv show.

thats pretty wide for a 14". How wide are the back tyres and do you mind having different widths of tyre? Sounds good enough price.

iv decided im gonna get 4 new tyres now, probly toyo proxys as iv heard they're good and there one of the few who do 195/55/14!

the back tyres are 195/60/14 at the mo
