Hi there, starting to rebuild my c20ne engine and was thinking on strengthening the bottem end. So was thinking xe crank pistons and rods?? So was wundering if they fit?
Any help or ideas will be gratefull. Thanks

yes they will fit, the 2.0 8v block is the same as a 16v block bar the insides

dont know how it would run with the 8v head though

Like **** would be my best guess, surely the CR would be off...you'd have valve clearance issues and all that cack to worry about.

Surely if its a DIY rebuild job, then you might be better off scouring ebay for some old stock from a rally car or something people are flogging off dirt cheap before xmas? get the propper forged bits, least then you can rake around on the internet for people who've run the same sort of spec to give you an idea what the engines capable of

easiest mod to do to a c20ne is fit the cam pistons and ecu from a 20seh which are 130bhp from the factory where as yours is 115bhp

also cranks from the astra vxr x20leh or x20let are the same
