Recently I attended my first track day at oulton park and it was packed with m3's, scooby's and Mazda mx5's. The lack of any vauxhall motors surprised me a bit and got me wondering who else goes to track days and what do you use?

I got to Donington when I can, and also don't see many Vauxhalls. I think more people are into 1/4 miles than tracks when it comes to Vauxhalls?!

The one I went to was run by opentrack, cost 130 quid for the day with garage, pro photos, free refreshments and tuition. Although that price was obtained with a discount from another forum I'm a member of.

The most vauxhalls that get tracked are the VX's

The last one I did was with BookATrack, came to near £200 for full day open pit I think, plus fuel etc obviously

I went to donington sunday just to get pictures, its was a thing called thunder in the park which is timed sessions which is split into groups. Which means less track time than an open pit day (in theory) and if you can get your car to be under the decibel limit for a 'quiet day' then its only 99 pound in advance +fuel and other factors of expense. More info here TJ http://www.donington-park.co.uk/experiences/thunder-in-the-park-track-days/
