on the 27th of sept this year a nice young man pulled out in front of me from a driveway on the left side of the road writing mine and his vehicle off, since then ive had a courtesy car and sourced myself a replacement car which is a nova gte as some may know. i havnt needed my insurance swapped yet as ive got the courtesy car untill i get paid out, thought id ring to get a quote on how much it will be once i swap it over with my insurers.

my insurers told me my current broker wont insure it through the policy i have as its too old, id have to cancel my policy to start another up with the same company to cover me for the car. to me that is a load of crap. they quoted me 1096pound with 4years ncb, parked on a drive in a good post code. i dont think im having that, been quoted 600 on the popular comparison sites so i think ill have to lose what ncb ive earnt this year (6months of policy) and look else where.

going to phone HIC and flux tomorrow.

anywhere else good to try?

Has the 'blame' been settled yet? if not the the current broker will take that into account compared to how you got quotes from the usual suspects.

mmmm Thats a nice massive claim going on then :( gonna hit you harder every day longer you have the car. Even if it goes no fault to you it still effects the premiums :(

Flux may withdraw that rate once they realise their sister company has quoted higher.
