I was watching a vauxhall 4.5 crown wheel and pinion on Ebay (it would be rude not to ;))

towards the end bidding went nuts and it finished on £260.60 +£10 P&P

what gets me is that you can get a brand new harry hockly CWP for £235.25 NEW lol

I bid at the death (2 seconds) and whack in the full amount I am willing to pay, that way if I am outbid then tough sh!t, I don't have time to change it and all is fair. I do not bump the price up for possibly myself days before an auction ends! I have never understood people that do that!

You see it on the Volvo site, someone selling a car and they are also a forum member:

"I am top bidder at the moment chaps"

"Now it is me, good luck everyone"

"I'd rather pay a decent price and bid against others than steal if for pennies, it's unfair to the owner"

etc etc etc

Fcuk that! When I see something I want on eBay I tell no-one, and it's war! lol

Nice one mate!

I too have had many, the favourite would probably be a brand spanking new Nissan SR20DE engine for £42 complete with a P10 Primera and another two SR20's lol

Scrapped the car and two used engines, sat on the new one for a while and then sold for many monies. :d

Oh yeah, I got another completely new SR20DE too, complete with gearbox. lol
Cost me £100.

So why not just have 5 minute auctions for stuff?

I've bid early and still won stuff etc.

last seconds bidders are called snipers :) with all the bargains i've had on ebay in addition to the above should be a hitman ;)

if someone wants to put a £500 item on ebay starting at 99p with no reserve and gets caught out at £2.50 then more fool them i say :)

I bought a brand new GM oil pump for 20XE for 99p lol

TBH Ive lost count of the copias amounts of stuff Ive won for next to nothing purely to resell. Been using eBay since about 2004ish tho so.

good idea :)

i do place bids early when no one has bid and its getting close to the final day, i think if it gets to the final day with no bids it can be withdrawn, if a bid is placed then the seller is duty bound to let the aution run. I hate the end early (out of ebay) transactions that take place having watched an item for days and days :(

Are you me? lol I hope we're never after the same item!

B.I.N O.B.O is how I sell. Fcuk all gets listed as an auction, you lose this way! Then I have them fill in the cancel transaction form and get my listing/final value fee's back. :d

£300 is what those CWP's are new from Vauxhall, probably cheaper if you can find someone that gets trade discount, lol.

My motto when selling on ebay is if you start at 99p you should be prepared to sell at 99p . If you think its worth a tenner as a minimum start at £10 (or £9.99 to be cheeky) at least you won't be disappointed with just one bid.

Best buy this year was an Irmscher backbox for the Meriva at 99p (chap mistyped Irmscher) - best sell - C20XE dispack cylinder head for £205 !!!

Ive bought & sold that much this year Ive lost count of best buy :/ best sell though, probably one guy buying ten car sets (£655) of FG bumpers that I make, although not strictly eBay as such, but asked me if possible via eBay/paid paypal etc.
