Mystery Coilovers?

This set of coilovers was on EBAY recently;

The Seller was advertising them as for a Tigra.......although clearly the rear ones are not the correct top fitment for Nova/Corsa/Tigra.

I e-mailed the Seller and asked what make they were, and he told me they were KYB.

Anyone seen this style before, and know any more about them?

cant find any coilovers on kyb site and tein dont do vauxhall, 2 down quite a few to go :)

is that funny bit on the side like some sort of external reservoir? looks similar to the rear shock of a downhill mountain bike just bigger.

externals are a feature on the more upmarket items, first time i have seen them mounted on the shock thou

It's not uncommon for the reservoir to be mounted on the shock, although I've never seen it on a Nova/Corsa, and I've never seen a KYB coilover either.....

the look like the off a grass track car and the rears are for a space frame type etc

I did bid on them, I think whoever has won them is going to get a shock (no pun intended) when they find the rears won't fit.

Looking at the Sellers feedback, he's probably headed for another Negative, that's if he sends them off to the Buyer at all..........

I looked into these 1st time around on Ebay. I got all the numbers off them from the seller but could not find any info on them I even emailed and talked with KYB but they did not know any thing about them. Look good but if you have a problem with them whose going to fix them.
