View Full Version : The Chancer's (Chancellor) Speech
What a cunnt that bloke is,so yet again we see that its more beneficial to live on benefits.
Unbelievable, benefits go up 5% WORKING TAX CREDITS are frozen, and public sector capped til next year and then a 1% rise only therafter.
Monumental failure. All this while other things are going up,fuel, food more notably
Seriously, i read summat on the bbc red button news yesterday that said 1st time buyers tax relief was being scrapped as it "didnt get the response we had hoped for"
What?!!! are these idiots for real or what?!
Did they honestly believe for 1 second that the market would suddenly boom over a bollox incentive like that?!
And now strikes today,as they have put the pension age up too, which due to the stresses of living in this modern society, most wont get near due to heart failure!!
note, while its not pleasant, atleast 'we' arent still spending LOTS of cash that isnt ours.....
Strikes are ace, traffic was really light today :d
We're all ****ed! I didn't need some prat in Westminster to tell me that lol

the worst thing i have read lately was in the paper last week, a scheme called mode 5 which the government is trying to bring in which allows other countries to bid for work in the uk, then bring their workforce with them, and pay them what they like, the countries going to be fcked if that comes in, we will have indians working for 5 rupees a week
DVLA may be open - call them and find out. Not everyone is in a union.
And now strikes today,as they have put the pension age up too, which due to the stresses of living in this modern society, most wont get near due to heart failure!!
Its not just the raise in age, there's a whole raft of changes to the pension that the government is proposing which will see pension values slashed for the recipient. Civil servants love their final salary pensions too lol
The government needs to look at its expenditure on contractors before it does anything else. Yes, outsourcing and job cuts might save, say, £5bn on the wage bill, but when you then have to hire in contractors to cover the work at an expensve of £20bn, it kinda defies the logic really.
I was in my home city of Hull today in the centre shopping, seeing thousands of them marching and chanting was brilliant.
What wasnt brilliant was that kids that should have been at school were wandering round town aimlessly, not good imo.
They are cutting jobs etc in a bid to "kickstart our economy" how can that be??
Yeah the government may have money and have paid debts back but what about the real economy??
People wont have money to spend, thus contractors wont have work, thus folk wont have jobs-it simply doesnt balance out!!
And Jack-BAE Systems has fell on its ass due to outsourcing abroad.
My dad has worked at the Brough plant for 32 years,he showed me his CV on Sunday,it was sad reading that....
"1979-Present"
Countless, specialist aircraft engineering skills, and no jobs that will pay anywhere near what hes earning now.
The economic situation is bad for everyone, people, businesses, government etc
All the costs cutting is harsh, but what's do you expect after Labour took us to near bankruptcy with excessive spending? :)

Somethings aren't great but you have to think why the government are doing certain things. Britain wouldn't be in this situation if Labour didn't go out spending £900+ billion.
Britain wouldn't be in this situation if Labour didn't go to www.cashmygold.com and sell the national reserves for £2.50.
This is a services nation now and its biting us on the backside, we don't manufacture or produce or do anything productive in-country to cater for our own requirements, let alone sell abroad to bring money in. Andy's comment proves that.
Germany is doing fine, no doubt mainly due to their manufacturing industry. In that they actually have one, unlike us lol
I didnt vote for anybody but i couldnt help feel that Labour recognised the mess they made should have been given the chance to rectify.
An old bloke in pub warned me/the whole pub (lol) that the tories were always for upper classes, this is now certainly apparent. The working men/women of this country are left zoned and picking up the pieces.

Alot of Brough's workers have the good chance to go to apply Germany my dad has said.
I reckon things will get worse over next few years as well :(

Well yeah!!!
It has been said lol
That by the next election the promise they promised will be failed, and worse than the situation they picked up.

Auf wiedersehen, pet lol

While there isnt a 'no confidence' option on the ballot, if you dont vote you have no rights to get on a soapbox imho.....
Make your mark, stand your ground and have a voice. Dont make your mark, put up and shut up lol
We DO have a pretty good mfr industry, its just a hell of a lot smaller these days and also with other countries coming up skint there is less export (although where I'm at thrives on it :)
We want to keep our production in the UK, but are finding less and less quality places to get kit made :( So we are investing and doing the job in house.
I do honestly think if people/companies actually tried properly hard, they could make a killing in almost any market they are in, alas some are just happy to carry on the way they are and expect some sort of 'owed' lifestyle.

So if the whole board sounds/talks sh1t and you can see right through it as proven now, then what??

Do we?? Since when?? Your company might pay/be doing well which may well cloud your judgement on whats really going on...what is it you do again???????

No.It doesnt happen like that.
You need to look away from the three main parties. Its a shame Monster Raving Loony is no more, but BNP make an amusing substitute lol
Plus don't forget anyone can run for election. Sure you'd have to start small ideally and not go straight for number 10, although afaik if you get elected you get your registration fee back lol But most people either consider politics to be boring, can't be bothered or would rather leave it to someone else. Or all of the above lol

I dont, its something i strongly believe in,and if anyone knew me properly, im the last person you would ever expect to follow it so closely and strongly argue my point.

'we' make car radios.... seems to do well. The whole Automotive industry is growing its ass off at the moment, not enough people in any of the companies despite them recruiting like mad, not enough suppliers either so the few who are still here are doing well etc. I did play in deeeefense for a bit and frankly the private side of that is doing well (not as well as in the past, but still turning profits with relative ease)... OK only two industries, BUT two of the bigger ones in the UK.
So if 'it' dosent work like that, how does it work then? (without resorting to blaming the govt :p )
I did look into howto take part in the general erection when it was held. You have to pay either £500 or £2500 (cant remember) and if you get 10% of the votes in your constituency you get that cash back, if less than 10% then you lose. I think it was 10% anyway.
All very easy to run, a touch harder to actually get recognised over the Blues, Reds, Oranges and BNP's :(
Doesnt happen as in-you dont get a good lifestyle from becoming complacent with just "ticking ovver".....
LMAO at your own party lol
Im sorry if i come across as a bit off, just i get so annoyed with current situations.
I never said you get a good lifestyle by ticking over, I said folks seem to be complacent and tick over then expect a good lifestyle....
Hard graft and a bit of drive is the only way forwards, it always has been really (unless you work in the private deefense game, then you can be lazy good for nothing feckers and still get paid a mint)
