Got a set of these cheap to clear my brakes the fronts clear ok but the rears hit the outer arch. There 15 inch 7j the offset stamps are utter crap as you can hardly make them out from what I can see I think there either 38 or 39. What offset do people run to get these in the rear arch.

ET38 will fit in a Nova rear arch.

Not at 7j it wont without arch mods imo

This is true lol lol

But ET38 will fit lol and IMHO ET38 rims handle soooooo much better then 49's on Nova;s!

I spoke to dynamics to see if they did a 6j and they said they only do 7j 15's. Did find a company on eBay saying 6.5j but I think that's a lie due to dynamics not even selling them.

My old style comps were et49 6j and filled the arch. I can't see how a 38 will fit in there as its a massive difference

Cnt handle better if they wont turn cause their sat on the lips... lol

Because et38 will sit 9mm more out from the hub, IE closer to the arch lip. And if they are 7j means they are an inch wider in the arches...

Ive had 38's on a few Nova's with no issues at all.

EDIT: In a 6J that is.

If your stupid enough to have a car that low at the front then more fool you (well, no you directly but you know what I mean lol )

ET38 on 5J Mike!!

My 1.2's (ET45 / 15" / 7J) only scrubs on the outer of the O/S/R arch over big bumps

Highest offset these wheels come is 45

I think Lomas is running them on his Nova

Surely you mean 6J Mazz??

Highest offset these wheels come is 45

Tis indeed unfortunately, infact most prorace wheels come with a minimum of 7J too

Surely you mean 6J Mazz??

meh, 6J and ET38 is gonna be close imo

So does anyone know if you can get these in 6.5j. The fronts are ok they stick out the arch a little due to my APs being spaced by 3mm. But the front arch can be pulled out to cover that. The rears sit on the arch lip at an offset which I think is 38

They close yeah, but they do fit. Dont know how they fair upto to rear seat passengers though but they do definetly fit.

6.5J is very close here though:

According to this site they came in 7j minimum, its the official team dynamics site so I would trust it

That's what I've gone off so can't see where people are getting 6 and 6.5s from.

Im reffering to a generic 6 or 6.5 wide rim.

What suspension you running, the reason I ask is I have the pro race 3's in 15" 7j with a 45 ofset and they catch the coilovers (now turreted) but if you had a standard style rear strut then you might be ok.
And no they didn't come in 6j or 6.5j you used to be able to get 14's in that when they were first launched a few years ago but they don't list them anymore.

Im having the same problem with these wheels but im told its possible to get the inside of the wheel machined down on a lathe

Yes^ ive been looking in too for my wheels.

Im interested to see if it will work but got to take tyres off n decide how much to take off the inner of the wheel

Mine are fine the inner arch..just scrub slightly on the outer on big bumps

Right I have an answer for everyone.

I'm running avo coilovers on the rear with an et38 I have about a 1cm gap to the wheel rears not turreted.

To answer the fitting question, I have got them to fit in the arch without hitting the rear coilover or arch
My wheels are 7j et38 and today I had 3mm milled out of the hub, the wheels now clear the arches Inner and outer without hitting the strut with tyres on to. Very happy that they finally fit.

So lads it can be done! :)

Thats good to know. What size tyres are you running? And how much is it lowered by? Thanks in advance

novaboyopr
01-12-11, 09:11 PM
195/45 with quite a big sidewall as there budgets but Yokohamas have a straighter sidewall so would be abit better. Hard to say how much its lowered as there coilovers bit would probably say about 80mm

Ok cheers ive got 195 45s to go on mine so will have to take tyres off n get them machined now

3mm I had taken off, you could probably get away with 5mm if you still have problems you've got to take into account the nova build tolerances which are shonkey.

I had et42 in a 7j on a hatch was a nightmare and they were 15s changed to 17 team dynamic monzas in a 45mm 7j and even 4 up never caught amazing the difference 3mm makes, didn't do anymore mods to the arches, I'd personally steer clear of a 38 ofset

Yea thinking of 5mm as the tolerances differ so much
