Hi All,
The story: My cousin said she needed a car for less than £500 and as we were going to an auction, we said we'd have a look, so this was bought from BCA auctions in Measham on Friday and picked up today, my cousin was all excited and then got an insurance quote of £900 which she can't afford to pay (she has no no-claims) so she now doesn't want it, which leaves us with it.

So the basics:
88k warranted,
MOT til the start of July,
Taxed til the end of December,
1.4 Hi-Torque engine,
PAS,
Factory Sunroof.

Mods:
GSI Spoiler,
Tinted rear windows (not black)
Lowered by what looks like 40mm on G-Max Shocks and I presume Springs
Vented Front Discs,
Front Strut Brace (possibly E-Tech)
Possible Sports Cat (will check tomorrow)
Possible Panel Filter (will check tomorrow)
Possible engine upgrades (print out for 102BHP (standard is 82))
Alloys (though will need two new front tyres)
6X9's (possible amp, weird job on the parcel shelf)

Bad Points:
Serious wear on front somewhere, will need looking ASAP (steering is certainly an experience, but was driven safely back from Measham which is about 20 miles away), this has caused the two front tyres some heavy wear on the inside, causing the cords to come through slightly, however is driveable but would need looking at ASAP.
A rust patch on the passenger door (May need a new door, depends how fussy you are)
A rust patch on the boot, both easily sorted, surface rust rather than corrosion,
No stereo,
Some wear on drivers seat

However, the engine does run very well (could do with a service though)
The sills and rear arches are very good, not a hint of rust anywhere, all welding undeneath has been done in the last two years.
It's only done 13k in the last 5 years, the clutch was replaced 20k ago and the majority of the last MOTs are here (BCA print out for the last 3 years).

Obviously BCA have sent off the V5 in my cousins name (for the princely sum of £26 I might add!) however, we have all proof of purchase from BCA and a full receipt will be given, we'll send the V5 off again when my cousin receives it.

Pics (better ones to follow tomorrow)

Hi All, thought that at work, its not the steering thats the issue, its something suspension irentated I believe (all springs and suspension appear to be in good condition, possibly wheel buckled???)
