Loved this car for a long time now and having just recently missed out on buying it due to having just bought the other 2 Novas i was a bit gutted. Although it didnt go far as my Best Man to be bought it, unfortunately for him he decided he didnt want to do anything with it and so fortunately for me he kindly handed me the keys and told me to pay him back as and when i could. He knew it would be better in my hands anyway :d
Built around 2000/2001 by the owner of Trix in dunfermline it had all the right bits and everything was done right and to be fair it shows as it weathered reasonably well over the 10 or so years as it could be a lot worse.

So a bit welding is needed, a drivers arch replaced, passenger arch repaired, drivers door replaced which i have and its already been painted and then a general tidy up of everything else to get back into shape and on the road!!!!!

Yeh as ive prob said many times before im not a huge fan of mk1s but there something about this one ive always really liked, tried to replicate it with the white one but didnt like that much so it must be the colour!

Aye mate dont worry, i keep her sweet lol She's got a nice astra :d Although the novas do get mentioned every now and then when theres a dissagreement of sorts but unfortunately for her they come as part of the package, always have and always will :thumb:

A wee update on this as it is still here. Although having bought my old white Mk1 back i have now sold this on to a mate, ive still got the job of building it though.

Having stripped it down i found that the shell was too far gone to be saved so we went about the process of reshelling it. The leather made its way into my TD as we decided to go the stripped out route with it. So the new shell went off to get painted, a dose of bits went away to get powdercoated in a mix of candy orange, silver and anthracite. Engine has been cleaned up and painted along with fitting a new timing belt etc.

We Decided to paint the underside aswell, Hammered Blue Hammerite proved to be a good match for the laser blue.
Sealed and treated anything that required it and gave it 4 coats to get good coverage. Messy job mind!

Yeh it certainly is mate, should last a fair bit longer now. Its saved an old flame of ours though :thumb:

So heres where were at with this now, Decided to repaint the underside with hammerite hammered blue which is actually a good match against the Laser Blue.
Fuel tank fitted, magnex exhaust system fitted and mated to the Magnex 4-1 XE manifold, Cavy RARBed Axle fitted, AVO's fitted, everything poly bushed with flo-flex bushes. Brakes all fitted with greenstuff pads all round. Bumpers, skirts and all plastics refitted having the grey bits redone in BMW sparkling graphite to try get a closer match to the anthracite powdercoated bits and wheels.

Cheers Guys, well i had the day off today so with no other chores to do i managed to get this near enough finished and rolling again. Few bits n bobs still to tidy and finish off but the main thing is that it can now be delivered round to my mates house and i can finally get my white one home. :d
