View Full Version : my nova xe project ae86 project and pulsar gtir project "phew"
ok were do i start lol i baught my nova in 2004 it was a red 1.2 expression my plans back then were to keep it red and have it looking like an sr but they soon changed when i got offered a rough gte 16v astra. i'd always loved white gsi's and saying as my first car was a white gsi rep i thaugt id go down the same route untill i got this far

http://i438.photobucket.com/albums/qq104/davegtcoupe/yxirear.jpg
http://i438.photobucket.com/albums/qq104/davegtcoupe/redtop.jpg
then as many of you will know an urge for somthing else crops up and i baught an ae86 corolla in 2007. always loved them and i had the money so had to do it lol so after puttin the nova aside i ended up spending all my wages on the corolla and ended up with this
http://i438.photobucket.com/albums/qq104/davegtcoupe/508.jpg
although looks a bit like this now
http://i438.photobucket.com/albums/qq104/davegtcoupe/717.jpg
http://i438.photobucket.com/albums/qq104/davegtcoupe/716.jpg
and in the middle of things got offered this cheap needing a bit of a tidying up and couldnt let it pass. always had a soft spot for these to so ther was nothing i could do lol the thaught of 4 by 4 turbo power was just to tempting lol

http://i438.photobucket.com/albums/qq104/davegtcoupe/530.jpg
sorry for the life story but thaught id share my pain with you's all lol and have only got started back at the nova recently. so i have 3 projects on the go at one time! i only hope the bank account holds up. thanks for looking :d

Strip the pulsar, put the ae86 lump into the nova, and the pulsar lump into the ae86 :d
Strip the pulsar, put the ae86 lump into the nova, and the pulsar lump into the ae86 :d

My mate had a silver rb loved that car av broken 5 or 6 umberella models and a sunny gti and I still haven't seen an umberella in one yet lol

Also love the nova, is one of my fave ones on the site i think, it's different from all the other white novas and those skirts and splitters look great. Raffinos are also my favourite wheel for a nova, seriously loving those 2 cars. Never liked Pulsars though sorry lol

I'm sure the front would look better if you pushed the bumper up as much as possible then nipped up the 13MM chassis leg bolts.
There's a guy with a white 86 close to me with pop up headlights; if I wasn't such a scrub I'd be in a position to make an offer on it.

It looks surprisingly clean under there, are you stripping to the bare metal then?
If youre going to be grinding with the car in that position, it might be an idea to cover the roof lining to prevent unwanted damage to it from errant sparks and other grindery associated flying-ness lol

This is how she looked last week. Skirts are now off and away to get painted black and the splitter is off but havnt got photos. Need smaller tyres on the mims kinda get the feeling it will look better on the speedlines
I prefer those mima to speedlines! More subtle splitter going on?
If I can find a nice splitter other than a laguna one I'll maybe put one back on. The mims are goin to hit my front wings unless I put elastic band tyres on lol I like them though
Splitter is off and the skirts have been painted black. Does lpok a lot better now havnt any good pics at the min so here's a random one I took the other night

Not a big fan of different mirrors on a Nova as I think the standard ones suit the angular boxy look of the car. However the manta ones do look better to my eyes than the shrunken ones as they just look odd to me being that small.

Cheers buddy it was originally red and had only been painted on the outside so decided to go back to red. The raffinos are still ther could do with a quick refurb to freshen them up a bit and new lower profile tyres. Had the speedlines sitting freshly painted with new tyres on them so that's why they're on. Manta mirrors are also still ther just can't see a dammed thing out of them and didn't want standard mirrors lol
