Both are on 14's the silver ones standard suspension, the white ones a -60mm kit from a corsa.

To illustrate better:

I'd hazard a guess that what you want is a -40mm kit for a corsa B, as the springs will be slightly stiffer than stock so it'll ride a little higher than the nova -40mm kit and will handle a bit sharper. Gsi springs i would think will be a little softer than a lowering kits springs and as such will let it roll about a bit. for tarmac rally most people seem to run -40mm

This said, loose the balloon tyres, get it on some narrower/skinnier profiles and it'll look like its riding a lot higher and that will deal with a lot of arch clearance issues, again the white one runs 175/65/14's, whereas the silver one is on 195/60/14's. because his tyre is slightly wider than mine it makes it look like its got a higher profile, and gave scrubbing issues on the stock suspension!

I couldnt tell by the photo given, and the size of the tyres you've got on that. However i'd change the tyres first before going at the springs to see if that sorts your issues out as part worn 14's are about £15 a corner down here & you'd see a full set of four for about £50. The lower profile would also drop your gearing slightly, making for theoreticly better accelleration...and the extra tread is always good for when plod comes sniffing about! Sell the old tyres on ebay too and get back most of your money.

gave scrubbing issues on the stock suspension!

To be fair, that was on my old mark 1, I have no such scrubbage issues on my silver mark 2, however it isn't lowered (yet) and I have found that the wider profile I am running gives me pretty good grip, if you lower it to -40mm with a profile similar to mine I don't foresee any handling problems.

cheers, pretty sure mines -60mm then. My tyres are the same size as the ones on the white one. Am i right in thinking that corsa springs wont fit on nova shocks?
