removing snapped part of bolt?

One of my rocker cover bolts have snapped and left half of it in head, how can i get it out?

either drill it out or drill a hole in the remaining bolt and screw a left handed self tapper into it and pull out.

or if you have no "left" handed tap (called a stud remover) you can drill a smallish hole in the bolt, and hammer a halfords pro/snapon torx bit in and undo with that


my mate did this with my halfords bits and i nearly hit him with the breaker bar, then he showed me no damage to the bit so i didnt clobber him with the breaker bar lol
