nova cooling fan & cowlings

are they all the same i.e would a 1.2 fan fit a gte? is there a change between mk1 & mk2 models etc?

i think the mounting points are different but can easily be fixed

not sure if the plugs changed between a mk1 and mk2 but that can be fixed too using spade connectors

wont matter then? i was thinking the gte rad would be bigger and would maybe need a bigger fan but if thats not the case then thats fine.

the gte gsi fan is a better shape its thinner but it will mount to any 1.2/1.4/1.6 radiator unsure on the 1.0 as its a different rad to the rest as it has the inlet and outlet on the same side.

There are 3x different fan cowlings, 2x fan blade sizes & 3-4 plug types.

managed to source a 1.2 1990 fan as it was easier than finding a gte/gsi one,its getting a standard e16se engine and gte rad put back in,just wondered if the 1.2 fan would be ok,its a 1989 gte its going in (car was stripped of all running gear when bought)

The radiator itself would be more important, it should be an alloy twin core job, not the usuall black single core type

The rad is a brand new valeo one for a gte so should be ok
