i was looking at the requirements for classic car insurance with sku (not that i want it)

here are the requirements lol

you must not work as any of these



Amusement Arcade Owner/Employee
Artist
Caravan Dweller
Casino Employees
Doorman/Bouncer/Night Security (Licensed Premises)
Entertainment Industry (Dance/Film/Television/Theatre)
Horse Jockey/Trainer or the like
Licensed Trade/Licensee/Publican/Employee (Apply drinks clause)
Market Trader
Models
Musician
Newspaper Journalists/Photographers (National)
Nightclub Owner/Dancer/Employee
Offshore Gas/Oil Rig employee
Professional Sports person
Road Worker/Ashphalter
Scrap/General (Dealers/Merchants)
Unemployed/No occupation under age 45
Unemployed persons formely associated with above

You can only 'legally' discriminate against creed,gender,sexuality and age (although restrictions can be placed on age legitimately)

I would guess they have in the past had heavy claims from certain collections of that list, and the rest of it is standard wont insures by most.

Soon insurance companys wont be able to discriminate against gender, so rather than bringing all the male quotes down to the same level as the female quotes they are bumping all the female quotes up to the same level as the male quotes. think i may start up my own insurance company!

used to use lancaster direct and they are good, worth a try. Get thier online quote and then phone them to see if they can lower it.
