bit of a dilemna, my car is insured as a 1.4 atm its not being drive atm as its not finished

as you know ive fitted a 20seh and sky have quoted me an extra £13 a month to change to a 2.0

now heres the thing, i turn 25 at the start of january so my insurance should come down a fair bit

so i keep the car off the road untill then and wait till im 25 and change the insurance or just change it now???????

does insurance use your age exactly or just how many years i.e

if i insured it as a 2.0 1 day before my 25th birthday if i waited a day would it drop a fair bit?

tbh age makes shag all difference ime.

+1

The policy on my van is twice what my dad pays on his car. However, for my dad to insure my van if it were his own vehicle is only £96 cheaper then what I pay. Im 25, hes 61.

Just change it if it gets nicked at the minute your insurance is invalid so you will get deck all off them also rates will not change till your renewal date, so price will be the same anyway, hence adding points not changing your price till renewal

And mike the cheapest years for insurance is 40-50 after that your ratings increase so ya dad at 61 is on the upward slope he will easily be paying more than you in a few years.

well i messaged ollie and asked him and he said there wouldnt be much change due to age etc so i called them up and changed it over to a 2.0 so its all insured properly now

pretty cheap aswell :)
